WEST SEATTLE, Washington, July 27, 2009 (WSFB) – Governor Grimoire has issued an “excessive heat warning” for all of Western Washington, specifically the West Seattle metropolitan area.
“Residents are urged to consume water – cool if possible – and to cover themselves in absorbent materials with the coolest, wettest water they can find” says the Governor. “I will not allow thousands of people to die due to spontaneous combustion in this state again; not on my watch.”
The excessive heat warning will remain in affect until late August.
