Coach Carroll Says Winning Games Is Key To Successful Season

2010011200001320WEST SEATTLE, Washington, August 21, 2010 (WSFB) – After winning the first game of the pre-season last Saturday night, Coach Pete Carroll is looking forward to tonight’s game against the Green Bay Packers. When asked what he thought of his chances this season, Carroll replied,”Well, when you can pay guys a salary legally, you have much more flexibility in filling roster spots so I’m pretty excited about the opportunity to win another National Championship with a different team.”

When reminded that the NFL Championship game is called the Super Bowl, he quipped “Look, I don’t tell you guys how to write your stories so don’t assume you can do my job!”

Another reporter in attendance then asked the Seahawks Coach what his strategy was going to be against tonight’s opponents, the Packers, he answered “My strategy must remain a secret, but I can tell you my thoughts have always been if you can score more points than your opponent, you have a really good chance of winning the football game.”

Coach Carroll was then asked “Coach, isn’t that what all teams are trying to do?”

“Look, I don’t know what other teams are or aren’t trying to do, I just know what we’re trying to do and what we’re trying to do is do what teams do to do it better than other teams are doing…now for the last time, I didn’t have any idea about what was going on with Reggie Bush!”, presumably reffering to the recent scandal that has rocked his former employer, USC. “Now, what I need to do is make descisions, call plays, give interviews and try to get us to a bowl game before recruiting season begins!”

When Funblog staff reporters asked him what he thought about his quarterback, Matt, Carroll said “Leinart hasn’t been with us for a couple of years now – I think he went to the NFL – you guys need to do a better job of keeping up with our roster situation!”

We here at Funblog wish the Seahawks luck this season – they’re going to need it!
