WEST SEATTLE, Washington, November 21, 2009 (WSFB) – The West Seattle Funblog raised the roof on the West Seattle Bowl Saturday night with a raucous group of funbloggers who engaged in unparalleled funmanship, the likes of which West Seattle has never seen.
In addition to funmanship came grassroots effort in the form of “passing the hat”, where folks donated cash money to be handed over to the West Seattle Food Bank.
Funblogger Trensuela canvassed the floor collecting contributions from other Turkey Bowl participants, the end result being over $250.00 in cash donations.
This effort led to a shout out from Kendall of the Beer Church at the end of the evening, which was quite unexpected and totally appreciated.
When there’s something that needs to get done, we rally, get in there, and get things done. We aren’t afraid to think out of the box, innovate, and put ourselves out in front of the situation – physically. That’s how we roll, and we like what we do.
