WEST SEATTLE, Washington, June 06, 2010 (WSFB) – “It’s amazing what you learn when you come around!” says Don Bogie, Bartender Extraordinaire at West Seattle’s Maharaja Cuisine of India.
It’s true. The West Seattle Funblog has been so busy with all the great stuff happening in and around the peninsula that we’ve relegated Sundays to a day of rest. But, fuck rest – there’ll be time to rest at retirement.
Don Bogie began serving free lunch on Sundays during the 2008 football season, and started back up for the 2009 season. After the Superbowl in February, Bogie decided to continue the regular event.
“It’s my way of giving back to the community, and thanking the people I love that come here on a regular basis,” says Bogie.
If something’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right, and Bogie does it right. Every week it’s something different, whether it’s build your own deli sammich, pizza, lasagna, tenderloin steak tacos, or prime rib, you’re going to get a belly full of damn good food. Today it’s spaghetti with homemade sauce loaded with ground beef and mushrooms and garlic bread.
