WEST SEATTLE, Washington, August 26, 2009 (WSFB) – A local blog announced today that they have been officially pimped by Washington’s largest news organization.
When asked how they feel about all their hard work the non-breadwinner stated, “oh hell yesssssssssss!” to which the breadwinner replied, “mmmmhmmm. bling.”
The first thing local blog is planning on using their blogmoney for is renovating their headquarters and image.
Top priority is adding a 300-foot tower with an office at the top so they can watch over all of West Seattle and the surrounding areas and move out of the laundry room. They also plan on upgrading all of their iBooks and iMacs to MacBooks and Mac Pros.
Next, they will upgrade their site and move away from the janky blogroll that is Wordpress. You will also see them move towards a real “news” format, and they will be located here. The “news format blog” will go away and they will begin to look like the West Seattle Herald (who, ironically, was here nearly 80 years before them….).
The final big thing will be advertising for their site. Gone are the days of 8.5 x 11 inch pieces of paper with their blog name and “24/7/365″ printed and taped to the lids of their laptops. Custom skins are already in their cart.
They will be assuming all of the space currently consumed by Chase Bank’s “c’mon, we’re from back east but we’ve been around for 200 years which makes us better than Wamu” billboards. Soon you will be under the constant watchful eye of your new overlords from the W$B.
Congratulations, W$B, on winning the lottery!
