WEST SEATTLE, Washington, July 31, 2009 (WSFB) – The WSFB has announced the first in a series of summer clam digs around the West Seattle peninsula. This event will take place at Lincoln Park starting at 4:15AM PDT (GMT-8:00) Saturday August 1st.
This event is named after famed local clam digger Margle “Admiral” Clamm, local seafood industry pioneer and current owner of Swabby’s Sea Hag Shack of Clamm located 4.58 nautical miles off the coast of Alki aboard the old Flying A oil rig platform.
Participants are encouraged to keep this event to themselves, as clamming is both a potential health hazard and totally fucking illegal. Dark colored clothing and clamguns are encouraged. You’ll be best served to park on the street in the neighborhood surrounding Lincoln Park, and walking in with your gear.
You will want to be very low key upon your departure as there are environmentalist guerrilla bloggers from a local rival communist blog on patrol.
See YOU at the beach!
