“Three Amigos Summit” Exposes Gap In Canadian Food Genre

WSFB_3_AMIGOSWEST SEATTLE, Washington, August 09, 2009 (WSFB) – The leaders of the United States, Canada, and Mexico met in Guadalajara Mexico this weekend to watch the premiere of the GI Joe movie and to feast on some really great food.

The United States brought hot dogs, cheeseburgers, and milkshakes to the event.

The Mexicans brought chile relleno, enchiladas, tacos, and churros.

Absent from the food lineup, however, was an authentic Canadian dish as it is widely believed in the United States and Mexico that “there is no such thing”.

Canadians protested in the streets of Canada to decry the notion that their country is completely void of anything original, especially food. Canadians contend they’re just so doggone cold and busy trying to stay warm they don’t have the luxury of “reinventing the food wheel”.
